Thankful
I am so thankful for my sweet little family. Mason asked if dad would be home today and I told him he'd be home all weekend. His reaction- "All Right! We can wrestle the whole time with him!" In fact, the kids are wrestling with their daddy right now. Listening to the kids laughing, Marissa saying "tickle me daddy!", and Mason making growling snarling noises as he attacks dad...it's just priceless!
I'm thankful for my kids who weren't on one this morning and actually were sweet while I made them breakfast. I like waking up to that rather than the alternative. Mornings are so much happier when they are sweet angels.
My husband rocks! He got home from working swings last night a whole 3 hours early. Best surprise ever. Just so you know, I love that guy more than anyone. Maybe more than my kids. It's a close race. Also, thankful for the military and all it's perks. Ster signed up for a giveaway and found out he won, to the tune of a $200 gift card. Holy awesome, batman!
This baby inside me, although he doesn't have a name yet, has become so special to me. I get to feel him move and I get to hear his heartbeat often. He may be my one high-maitenance kid, but I'll gladly take him. He will be one loved little guy in our home. ***Update: We met with the specialist on Friday and will now be meeting with a pediatric cardiologist in SLC to have a fetal echo done. Now the baby's heart is quite big and there is a hole. After we figure this out we'll be able to know if I'll be delivering here in Pocatello or down in Salt Lake. Good news though, early results of the amnio test we had done say chromosomes looked good, so no downs or severe mental retardation. Such blessings. Glad to have good doctors watching out for us. The doctor called yesterday before he left for holiday to give us the good news. Huge thank you to him! I'm six weeks today, and counting!!
I'm thankful for all of you friends, for a wonderful extended family, and for the blessing of the Savior. Also thankful for the in-laws who'll be putting on Thanksgiving dinner today and who assigned us to bring the drinks. I think I can handle that this year.
